Collage it all up

Most of the images here have undergone more work. Are paintings ever finished?!

I love the choc...

I'm sitting in my kitchen waiting for my chocolate and white chocolate cream cheese truffles to harden. Yipeee...I'd have pictures to share if I knew where my charger was. I don't think I used enough chocolate... honestly! This deserves a post, why? Cause I've been wanting to make these for a long time! I guess this is all.

I call it UnCool Hearts OnCool

Ta-da! I've unveiled my first public display of (physical) art. I have to be honest... I'm shy about sharing the rest. I consider all of my paintings unfinished and figured this piece would be OK because it looked kinda cool (excuse the redundancy)... plus I really need to update!

The backdrop is a really light wash of various shades of blue and it just didn't feel right to keep layering on top of the hearts.

Enjoy!

Henry the Turtle

On Christmas eve Selina, Linda, and I busted out the clay and started making whatever. His name is Henry for no good reason. Yappy the Seal is right behind him. Enjoy!

Talk about fleeting ambitions...

Even this blog is one. I've been thinking about whether I meant to call it Fleeing Ambitions or Fleeting Ambitions. Well, it's actually both. Mayhaps I should rename it Fleeingting Ambitions...eh?

Hey, Hey Peaches

I attempted to make this Peach Gnocchi from 101cookbooks.com this weekend and it..was..awful. First, I won't blame it on the recipe itself. There were a handful of factors that went into making this experiment a disaster. I figured I would mention this on my 'fleeting ambitions' blog because I have wanted to make this dish for a long time. I wouldn't say the actual gnocchi was awful--a little gummy and weird but not terrible. Still, the lesson here is that store bought gnochhi is A-OK and outweighs making them by hand any day. The sauce, though, was what really made it awful.. I followed the instructions near perfectly but I guess I had questionable peaches to begin with, a sweeter champagne than assumed, blah blah.. Eventually it turned into this weird, white, sour and alcoholic-y sauce which I then turned into an impromptu alfredo sauce (with mozzerella, parmesean, and black pepper). Good thing we also had spaghetti sauce alongside.

Hi.

I am a woman of fleeting ambitions; I want to draw..no I want to sing, or play, and paint, ooh and cook, bake, or sew, and travel, and strum, and learn, and code, no, design, read, write, meet, capture, spend, swim, watch, walk, run, listen...wait, I wanna...

What I'm saying is I just talk the talk and never walk the walk. I want to change that. Here I'll showcase paintings, pictures, travels, books, recaps, half-assed recipes, digital art and videos when I'm not posting at my regular blog at sthao.blogspot.com.

Disclaimer: I'm just having fun with this blog. You've been warned!
